Until an official fix is available, limit access to the local network segment hosting the Garmin WDU devices and educate users to avoid clicking suspicious URLs served by the device. Monitor vendor communications for updates on patches or official mitigations.
Description
CVE-2025-27852 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the locally served web interface of Garmin WDU devices (versions 1.4.6 and 5.0). An attacker on the local network can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the device's web page if the victim views a crafted URL and interacts with the page. This can lead to full administrator access to the device. The vulnerability requires user interaction and local network access. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available.
