What to do

AI-suggested

The vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel by purging the skb list before tipc_link_xmit() returns an error. Users should apply the official kernel updates that include this fix.

Description

A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's TIPC subsystem was fixed. The flaw occurs in the tipc_link_xmit function when the backlog transmit queue for system-importance messages is overloaded. In this case, tipc_link_xmit returns an error but fails to purge the skb list, causing a memory leak and potential failure in skb allocation. The issue has been resolved by ensuring the skb list is purged before returning.
