Apply the official Linux kernel updates that include the fix for this vulnerability. The patched versions include 5.15.0-1088.95~20.04.1 and later releases as listed in the established facts. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond updating to a fixed kernel version.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's pata_pxa driver could lead to a NULL pointer dereference due to missing error handling after devm_ioremap() returns NULL. This issue has been fixed by adding a NULL check in pxa_ata_probe(). The flaw affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 5.15.0 updates and several older specific versions. The vulnerability has a medium severity score and does not have known exploits in the wild. The issue is addressed in official Linux kernel updates.
