What to do

AI-suggested

A fix has been implemented by adding cond_resched() in the affected function to prevent softlockup conditions. Users should update to the Linux kernel version containing this fix once available. No other mitigation actions are indicated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ftrace component was addressed by adding a conditional reschedule call (cond_resched()) within the ftrace_graph_set_hash() function. Without this, when tracing a large number of functions, the kernel could become unresponsive and trigger the softlockup watchdog. The fix improves kernel responsiveness during extensive function tracing.
