A fix is available in Linux kernel version 6.12.5, which includes the missing error check. Users should upgrade to this or later versions to remediate the vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's s390/pci subsystem was fixed by adding a missing error check for the zpci_create_device() function return value. The function returns an error pointer that must be checked before dereferencing it as a struct zpci_dev pointer. The missing check in the __clp_add() function could lead to improper handling of device creation errors.
