What to do
AI-suggested
A fix has been implemented in the Linux kernel to address this vulnerability by adopting dst_dev_rcu() locking in the affected functions. Users and administrators should apply the official kernel updates that include this patch as soon as they become available. Patch status is not explicitly stated in the provided data; therefore, check the vendor advisory or Linux kernel mailing lists for the official patch release and update guidance.
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: start using dst_dev_rcu() Change icmpv4_xrlim_allow(), ip_defrag() to prevent possible UAF. Change ipmr_prepare_xmit(), ipmr_queue_fwd_xmit(), ip_mr_output(), ipv4_neigh_lookup() to use lockdep enabled dst_dev_rcu().
