What to do

AI-suggested

The vendor has reverted the commits that introduced the issue, effectively removing the problematic code. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes this revert to avoid the hang. Since the fix is a revert of the faulty commits, applying the updated kernel version resolves the issue.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Qualcomm GENI serial driver caused a task to hang indefinitely on certain Qualcomm platforms, specifically the RB1 board (QRB2210). This issue was introduced by commits enabling power management runtime for the serial driver but resulted in a blocked task during normal boot, rendering serial communication unusable. The problematic commits were reverted to resolve the issue.
