A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this and other kernel security issues have been fixed in updated kernel releases. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to resolve this issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's crypto hisilicon/qm driver involved improper handling of a reserved interrupt for virtual functions. The driver did not register the reserved interrupt for virtual functions, causing a warning when the system enabled GICv4 and virtual function passthrough to virtual machines. This issue has been resolved by registering the reserved interrupt and setting the IRQF_NO_AUTOEN flag to avoid the warning.
