What to do

AI-suggested

A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel by correcting the legacy mode page table dump logic to avoid walking the page table when TT is not 00b or 01b. Users should apply the official kernel updates containing this fix once available.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iommu/vt-d debugfs legacy mode page table dump logic could cause a general protection fault (kernel oops) due to uninitialized or zero SSPTPTR when TT is not 00b or 01b. This issue has been resolved by avoiding page table walks under these conditions.
