What to do
AI-suggested
Given the absence of an official patch, European organizations should immediately audit their network environments to identify the presence of Tenda G3 routers running the vulnerable firmware version 3.0br_V15.11.0.17. Network segmentation should be enforced to isolate these devices from critical systems and sensitive data. Implementing strict firewall rules to restrict access to router management interfaces from untrusted networks can reduce exposure. Intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) should be configured to monitor and block suspicious traffic patterns targeting the ipMacBindListStore function or unusual requests to the router. Organizations should also consider replacing vulnerable devices with models from vendors that provide timely security updates and have a strong security track record. Until a patch is released, disabling remote management features and limiting administrative access to trusted internal networks can mitigate exploitation risks. Regular monitoring of vendor advisories and CVE databases is essential to apply patches promptly once available.
Description
Tenda G3 v3.0br_V15.11.0.17 was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the listStr parameter in the ipMacBindListStore function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted request.
