What to do

AI-suggested

Immediate mitigation should focus on network-level controls to detect and block malformed SSID inputs targeting the fast_setting_wifi_set function. Organizations should implement intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) with signatures or anomaly detection tuned for unusual Wi-Fi configuration traffic. Segmentation of network management interfaces and restricting access to router configuration endpoints can reduce exposure. Monitoring router logs for crashes or unusual behavior is critical for early detection. Vendors and users should prioritize firmware updates as soon as they become available. Additionally, organizations should maintain an inventory of affected devices and apply compensating controls such as network access control (NAC) to limit unauthorized devices and traffic.

Description

Tenda AC6 V2.0 15.03.06.50 was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the ssid parameter in the fast_setting_wifi_set function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
