What to do
AI-suggested
- Monitor Tencent’s official channels for security advisories and apply patches promptly once released to address CVE-2025-63945.
- Restrict local user permissions on Windows devices to the minimum necessary, reducing the likelihood that a local user can exploit the race condition.
- Implement application whitelisting and endpoint protection solutions that can detect and block unauthorized privilege escalation attempts.
- Employ system and security event monitoring to detect unusual local process executions or privilege escalations indicative of exploitation attempts.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments focusing on local privilege escalation vectors within enterprise environments using Tencent iOA.
- Educate users and administrators about the risks of local access and the importance of securing endpoints against unauthorized physical or remote local access.
- Consider isolating critical systems or limiting Tencent iOA deployment to trusted environments until a patch is available.
- Use Windows security features such as User Account Control (UAC) and Windows Defender Exploit Guard to add layers of defense against privilege escalation.
