Technical Analysis

CVE-2025-67406 identifies a SQL Injection vulnerability in Advocate office management system 1.0, specifically in the activate_case.php file's 'id' parameter. Unsanitized user input is directly interpolated into SQL queries, enabling attackers to perform error-based and time-based blind SQL injection attacks. Proof-of-concept payloads demonstrate the ability to extract data and induce delays via SQL SLEEP commands. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by manipulating the SQL query structure.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can lead to unauthorized data disclosure, data manipulation, and remote code execution on the affected system. This compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and underlying database.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the vulnerable endpoint and implement web application firewall (WAF) rules to detect and block SQL injection attempts targeting the 'id' parameter in activate_case.php.
