AI-suggested
A fix is available and has been applied in Linux kernel versions 6.8.0-1050.53~22.04.1 and later. Users should update their Linux kernel to a patched version to remediate this issue. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official kernel update.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMDGPU driver was resolved involving improper handling of memory allocation failure in the amdgpu_atom_execute_table_locked() function. Specifically, failure of kcalloc() to allocate a workspace buffer could lead to a NULL pointer dereference when accessing workspace entries. This issue was fixed by returning an error code on allocation failure to prevent the NULL dereference.
