A patch is available and should be applied. The vulnerability has been fixed in updated Linux kernel versions as detailed in the Ubuntu security advisory USN-8094-1. Users should upgrade to fixed kernel versions to remediate this issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SMACK security module allowed unprivileged tasks to create arbitrary labels if the relabel-self feature was enabled. This was due to improper checking of the relabel-self list before importing labels. The issue has been fixed in updated Linux kernel versions.
