AI-suggested

Users should apply strict input validation and output encoding on the affected parameters as a temporary mitigation. Monitor vendor channels for updates and patches. Since the vulnerability requires high privileges and user interaction, restricting access to the 'Create New Live Item' feature to trusted users may reduce risk.

Description

PodcastGenerator version 3.2.9 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the 'Create New Live Item' feature. Remote attackers can inject arbitrary script or HTML via the 'TITLE', 'SHORT DESCRIPTION', and 'LONG DESCRIPTION' parameters. The malicious payload is executed when viewing the 'View All Live Items' and 'Live Stream' pages. This vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 4.8. Public exploit code is available, but no official patch or fix has been documented yet.
