What to do
AI-suggested
- Monitor vendor communications closely for firmware updates addressing this vulnerability and apply patches promptly once available.
- Restrict access to router management interfaces by implementing network segmentation and firewall rules limiting access to trusted IP addresses only.
- Disable remote management features if not required to reduce the attack surface.
- Implement network monitoring to detect unusual or malformed requests targeting router management endpoints.
- Consider replacing affected devices with models from vendors with stronger security track records if patches are delayed.
- Educate network administrators on the risks of exposing router configuration interfaces to untrusted networks.
- Maintain regular backups of router configurations to enable rapid recovery in case of device failure.
