Description
CVE-2025-71127 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mac80211 Wi-Fi subsystem where Beacon frames sent to non-broadcast addresses were not properly discarded. According to the IEEE 802.11 standard, Beacon frames must be broadcast. Improper handling allowed unicast Beacon frames with the Protected Frame bit set to bypass beacon protection, potentially enabling attackers to manipulate associated stations. The issue is fixed by dropping all Beacon frames addressed to non-broadcast addresses.
