Description

CVE-2025-71274 is a race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's rpmsg core driver_override_show() function. The flaw arises because driver_override_show reads a string without holding the device_lock, while the corresponding store function modifies and frees the string under the device_lock, leading to a use-after-free condition. The issue has been fixed by replacing the rpmsg_string_attr macro with explicit show and store functions that properly hold the device_lock during read operations and use the standard driver_set_override helper.
