A fix is available and has been released in updated Linux kernel packages. Users should apply the official kernel updates provided by their distribution, such as those from Ubuntu Security Notice USN-8492-1. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the patch.

Description

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/amdgpu driver was fixed. This issue occurred if the SDMA block was not enabled, causing buffer_funcs not to initialize and leading to a NULL pointer dereference. The vulnerability has been addressed in updated Linux kernel versions.
