Published: 09/27/2026 (09/27/2026, 16:28:28 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: heymrun
Product: heym

Description

Heym versions before 0.0.53 have an improper authentication vulnerability where the X-Telegram-Bot-Api-Secret-Token header is not properly verified on Telegram webhook endpoints if credential_id is missing or secret_token is empty. This allows remote unauthenticated attackers to send forged Telegram updates that can trigger workflows using the owner's credentials and execute actions with attacker-controlled input.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-101050 describes an authentication bypass in heymrun's heym product prior to version 0.0.53. The vulnerability occurs because the application fails to verify the X-Telegram-Bot-Api-Secret-Token header on Telegram webhook endpoints when the credential_id is absent or the secret_token is empty. This flaw enables remote attackers without authentication to post forged Telegram updates, which can trigger workflows configured with the owner's credentials and execute arbitrary actions based on attacker-supplied input.

Potential Impact

An attacker can remotely send forged Telegram webhook updates without authentication, causing the application to execute workflows with the owner's credentials. This can lead to unauthorized actions being performed with attacker-controlled input, potentially compromising the integrity and security of the affected system.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in heym version 0.0.53 and later. Users should upgrade to version 0.0.53 or newer to remediate this vulnerability.
