AI-suggested

Upgrade telepresence to version 2.31.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated by the vendor advisory. Ensure that the Traffic Manager gRPC API is not exposed to untrusted network segments.

Description

Telepresence versions prior to 2.31.0 contain a vulnerability in the Traffic Manager gRPC API that allows unauthenticated callers within the cluster network to register in any managed namespace and create service intercepts without proper Kubernetes RBAC checks. This flaw enables an attacker with network access to the manager pod to intercept traffic and access sensitive container environment data, including secrets and tokens. The issue is fixed in version 2.31.0.
