Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Joyland
Product: Joyland.ai

Description

Joyland.ai on Android 9 and later explicitly allows cleartext HTTP traffic, which is against the default security posture that blocks such traffic. This behavior can lead to the transmission of sensitive information in cleartext over the network.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-102670 identifies a vulnerability in the Joyland.ai Android application where cleartext HTTP traffic is permitted on Android 9 and newer versions. By default, Android 9+ blocks cleartext traffic to protect sensitive data from interception. Joyland.ai's explicit allowance of cleartext HTTP traffic violates this default and introduces a risk of sensitive information being transmitted without encryption.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows sensitive information to be transmitted in cleartext over the network, potentially exposing it to interception by attackers with network access. The CVSS 4.0 score of 5.3 (medium severity) reflects the network attack vector with low complexity and no required privileges or user interaction. There is no indication of known exploits in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or fix is currently documented. Users and administrators should monitor vendor advisories for updates. As a temporary measure, network traffic should be monitored and restricted to trusted networks where possible. Developers should update the app to disable cleartext traffic and enforce HTTPS communication to protect sensitive data.
