AI-suggested
Upgrade Electron to version 41.10.6, 42.9.2, 43.4.1, or 44.0.0-beta.5 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Applications should avoid exposing custom schemes with supportFetchAPI enabled and corsEnabled disabled when loading untrusted content in the same session. No additional mitigation is required if the application does not expose such schemes or if corsEnabled is enabled as intended.
Description
CVE-2026-102675 is an origin validation error in the Electron framework affecting certain versions prior to 41.10.6, 42.9.2, 43.4.1, and 44.0.0-beta.5. The vulnerability allows responses served through custom protocols with supportFetchAPI enabled but corsEnabled disabled to remain script-readable across origins, potentially exposing sensitive data. This issue completes the remediation of a previous vulnerability (CVE-2026-70604). Applications are only affected if they expose such custom schemes and load untrusted content in the same session. The issue is fixed in the specified versions.
