Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-1029 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability (CWE-79) in IBM Common Licensing products including Agent 9.0, 9.0.0.1, 9.0.0.2, ART 9.0, ART 9.0.0.1, and ART 9.0.0.2. The vulnerability allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the web UI, which can alter intended functionality and potentially lead to disclosure of credentials within a trusted session. The CVSS v3.1 base score is 5.4, reflecting network attack vector, low attack complexity, requiring privileges and user interaction, with impact on confidentiality and integrity but no impact on availability.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can result in the execution of arbitrary JavaScript within the context of the web UI session, potentially leading to disclosure of user credentials or session tokens. This compromises confidentiality and integrity of the affected system's web interface. There is no indication of availability impact or known active exploitation in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

No vendor advisory or patch information is provided in the input data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the IBM vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, users should exercise caution with web UI inputs and restrict access to trusted users only.
