Published: 10/21/2026 (10/21/2026, 06:00:17 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Product: Payment Gateway for Idram

Description

The Payment Gateway for Idram WordPress plugin before 2.1.6 does not verify the authenticity of incoming payment notifications, because the merchant credentials used to compute their checksum are empty by default, allowing unauthenticated attackers to forge a valid payment confirmation and mark arbitrary orders as paid, and to force arbitrary orders into a failed state regardless of the gateway's configuration.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-103302 is an authentication bypass vulnerability (CWE-290) in the Payment Gateway for Idram WordPress plugin versions prior to 2.1.6. The plugin fails to verify incoming payment notifications properly because the merchant credentials used for checksum validation are empty by default. This allows attackers without authentication to spoof payment notifications, enabling them to manipulate order statuses by marking orders as paid or forcing them into failure states.

Potential Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to forge payment confirmations, potentially causing financial discrepancies by marking unpaid orders as paid or disrupting order processing by forcing orders into failed states. This can lead to fraudulent transactions and business process disruption.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade the Payment Gateway for Idram plugin to version 2.1.6 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Since the vulnerability is due to empty default merchant credentials, ensure that merchant credentials are properly configured and validated. Patch status is not explicitly stated but the presence of a fixed version (2.1.6) indicates an official fix is available.
