What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid adding untrusted bookmark URLs or restrict access to the affected interface to trusted users only. Use of proper context-aware escaping by switching to html/template for rendering bookmark URLs is recommended once a patch is released.

Description

CVE-2026-104587 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the blob42 gosuki application up to commit 6e2bf34. The issue arises because the application uses Go's text/template package instead of html/template for rendering bookmark URLs, which prevents proper context-aware auto-escaping. This allows an attacker to inject malicious JavaScript payloads into bookmark URLs that execute in the victim's browser when viewing the local web interface. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 5.4.
