Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-106224 is a vulnerability in Google Chrome's Google Lens feature where missing authorization checks allow an attacker with control over the renderer process to obtain data from other origins. This cross-origin data access occurs through a crafted HTML page. The vulnerability affects Chrome versions before 155.0.8059.39 and has been addressed in that version.

Potential Impact

An attacker who has already compromised the renderer process in Chrome can exploit this vulnerability to access cross-origin data that should normally be restricted. This could lead to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information accessible in the browser context.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should update Google Chrome to version 155.0.8059.39 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed. No additional mitigations are specified by the vendor advisory.
