Description

XXL-JOB versions 3.5.0-SNAPSHOT and earlier have a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in the user management controller. Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-106708 identifies a CSRF vulnerability in XXL-JOB up to version 3.5.0-SNAPSHOT. The user management controller's endpoints for inserting, updating, and deleting users lack CSRF protections and do not restrict HTTP methods, which could allow an attacker to perform unauthorized state-changing actions by tricking authenticated users into submitting forged requests.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation could allow attackers to perform unauthorized user management actions, potentially leading to privilege escalation or disruption of user accounts. The CVSS 3.1 score of 8.8 indicates high severity with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability, requiring user interaction but no privileges.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, it is recommended to implement CSRF protections on the affected endpoints and restrict HTTP methods to appropriate verbs (e.g., POST for state-changing operations).
