Description
Free5GC version 4.2.3 contains a resource exhaustion vulnerability during PFCP Session Establishment failure handling. If the SMF does not receive a PFCP Session Establishment Response from the UPF, UE IP address resources allocated are not released properly. This can lead to exhaustion of the UE IP address pool, preventing new UEs from establishing PDU sessions and causing a denial of service.
