Technical Analysis

This vulnerability in the Multi-tenant ERP System by Manacle Technologies is due to insufficient input validation and parameterization in an API endpoint, leading to SQL injection (CWE-89). The flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to inject malicious SQL commands by supplying crafted input to the vulnerable endpoint. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 9.3, indicating critical severity with network attack vector, no privileges or user interaction required, and high impact on confidentiality and integrity.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands on the backend database, potentially leading to unauthorized data access, data modification, or other database manipulations. This compromises the confidentiality and integrity of the system's data.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the vulnerable API endpoint if possible and monitor for suspicious input patterns. Avoid exposing the vulnerable endpoint to untrusted networks.
