Published: 10/08/2026 (10/08/2026, 14:10:33 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Aorimn
Product: dislocker

Description

Dislocker through 0.7.3 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in get_vmk() and get_fvek() that allows attackers to trigger out-of-bounds heap reads via crafted datum sizes. Attackers can supply a malicious BitLocker volume image with a datum_size smaller than the 36-byte AES-CCM header, causing hexdump() to over-read and crash dislocker.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-107635 is an integer underflow vulnerability in Aorimn's dislocker software (up to version 0.7.3). The issue occurs in the get_vmk() and get_fvek() functions when processing a crafted BitLocker volume image with a datum_size smaller than the 36-byte AES-CCM header. This causes the hexdump() function to perform out-of-bounds heap reads, potentially crashing the application.

Potential Impact

An attacker can supply a malicious BitLocker volume image that triggers out-of-bounds heap reads, leading to application crashes. There is no indication of privilege escalation or remote code execution. The impact is denial of service due to crash.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted or malicious BitLocker volume images with dislocker.
