Users should monitor the vendor's advisories for updates addressing this issue. Until a fix is available, consider restricting or sanitizing input fields at the application or web server level to prevent injection of malicious scripts. Avoid exposing affected parameters to untrusted users and limit access to pages displaying these fields.

Description

The PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce WordPress plugin is affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in versions up to and including 5.16.4. The flaw arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of certain billing and customer note parameters. An incomplete fix introduced in version 5.16.2 can be bypassed using entity-encoded payloads, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts that execute when a user views the affected pages.
