CVE-2026-107805: CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption in 0xJacky nginx-ui
Description
CVE-2026-107805 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in 0xJacky's nginx-ui web user interface for the Nginx web server. Versions from 2.5.0 up to but not including 2.6.0 perform temporary file staging of attacker-controlled request bodies before validating signatures, allowing unauthenticated remote clients to consume filesystem and processing resources. This impacts availability but does not affect authentication, confidentiality, or integrity. The issue is fixed in version 2.6.0.

Technical Analysis
The vulnerability in nginx-ui versions >=2.5.0 <2.6.0 arises from the node-signature authentication path, which stages attacker-controlled request bodies as temporary files and synchronizes them before validating the body digest and cryptographic signature. An unauthenticated remote attacker able to send syntactically valid signature metadata to the API can cause excessive consumption of temporary filesystem capacity, disk I/O, and request-processing resources. This leads to a denial-of-service condition affecting availability without bypassing authentication or compromising confidentiality or integrity. The vulnerability is addressed in version 2.6.0.
Potential Impact
An unauthenticated remote attacker can cause denial of service by exhausting temporary filesystem space and processing resources via crafted requests with valid signature metadata. There is no impact on authentication bypass, confidentiality, or data integrity.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade nginx-ui to version 2.6.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated or required.
