Published: 10/24/2026 (10/24/2026, 06:00:17 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Product: MAS Videos

Description

The MAS Videos WordPress plugin up to version 1.3.4 lacks proper authorization checks on front-end video and playlist deletion requests. The nonce verification is insufficient as it is tied only to a static action rather than the specific object being deleted. This flaw allows any authenticated user with minimal privileges to delete arbitrary posts, pages, attachments, and other content owned by other users.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-107907 describes a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the MAS Videos WordPress plugin versions up to 1.3.4. The plugin fails to verify user capabilities or ownership when processing front-end deletion requests for videos and playlists. Additionally, the nonce used for request validation is static and not bound to the targeted content object, enabling authenticated users with minimal roles to delete arbitrary content belonging to others.

Potential Impact

An attacker with any authenticated user account, even with minimal privileges, can permanently delete arbitrary posts, pages, attachments, and other content belonging to other users. This can lead to data loss and disruption of website content integrity.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict user roles and permissions carefully to limit who can authenticate and interact with the plugin's front-end deletion functionality.
