Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: pr-gateway
Product: Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler

Description

The Blog2Social – Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 9.1.4. This is due to the b2s_ship_item and b2s_ship_item_reload_url AJAX handlers lacking per-object authorization on the postId parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to read the title and content of any post, including private and pending posts belonging to other users.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-108092 is an authorization bypass vulnerability (CWE-639) in the Blog2Social plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions up to and including 9.1.4. The issue arises because the AJAX handlers 'b2s_ship_item' and 'b2s_ship_item_reload_url' do not enforce per-object authorization checks on the 'postId' parameter. This allows authenticated users with Contributor-level privileges or above to access the title and content of any post, including private and pending posts owned by other users.

Potential Impact

An attacker with Contributor-level or higher access can read sensitive content from posts they should not have access to, including private and pending posts belonging to other users. This leads to unauthorized disclosure of potentially sensitive information. The vulnerability does not allow modification or deletion of content, nor does it affect availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or fix is currently documented. Users should monitor the vendor's advisory for updates. Until a fix is available, restrict Contributor-level access to trusted users only and consider disabling or limiting use of the affected AJAX handlers if possible.
