Technical Analysis

Wukong_HRM contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the ParamAspect component that permits unauthenticated attackers to call every HRM API endpoint without providing the AUTH-TOKEN header. This flaw effectively grants attackers HR administrator access, allowing them to read payslips, salary history, employee personal data, download attachments, and modify or delete company-wide HR records. The vulnerability is present through commit 186115e. The CVSS 4.0 score is 9.3 (critical), reflecting network attack vector, no privileges or user interaction required, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Potential Impact

Attackers can gain full HR administrator access without authentication, leading to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive employee information, unauthorized data modification, and potential deletion of critical HR records. This compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability of HR data.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the affected API endpoints and monitor for unauthorized access attempts.
