Description

CVE-2026-108730 is a missing authorization vulnerability in The-Commit-Company's raven product versions 2.0.0 through 3.0.0. The flaw exists in legacy methods within raven/api/raven_message.py that bypass workspace membership checks. Authenticated users who are not members of a workspace can exploit this to access public channel history and metadata of files shared in open/public channels across different workspaces.

Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in raven versions 2.0.0 through 3.0.0 involves missing authorization checks in legacy API methods (get_messages_with_dates and get_all_files_shared_in_channel) that skip verifying if the authenticated user is a member of the workspace. This allows authenticated non-members to retrieve public channel message history and file metadata by using predictable channel IDs, potentially exposing information across multiple workspaces.

Potential Impact

Authenticated users without workspace membership can read public channel histories and file metadata in open/public channels across workspaces. This could lead to unauthorized disclosure of information intended to be accessible only to workspace members. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 5.3, indicating a medium severity impact with network attack vector, low complexity, and no user interaction required.

Mitigation Recommendations

No vendor advisory or patch information is provided. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to authenticated users and monitor usage of the affected API methods if possible.
