Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-108753 describes a hard-coded credentials vulnerability in agnaistic agnai through version 1.0.555. The vulnerability exists in the self-host.docker-compose.yml configuration file, which sets a fixed administrator password and a public JWT secret. Because of this, unauthenticated attackers can authenticate as the admin user or create their own JWT tokens with admin:true claims. This enables them to impersonate users, reset passwords, and modify server configurations without authorization.
Potential Impact
The vulnerability allows complete administrative access without authentication, leading to potential full compromise of the affected system. Attackers can impersonate any user, reset passwords, and change server settings, severely impacting confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, avoid deploying affected versions or restrict access to the self-host.docker-compose.yml file and related configurations to trusted administrators only.
