Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-109208 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the LearnPress WordPress LMS plugin affecting all versions up to 4.4.10. The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'quantity (REST)' and 'order_comments (checkout)' parameters. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute in the context of users visiting the injected pages. The vulnerability is exploitable without authentication if guest checkout is enabled; if disabled, Subscriber-level users can exploit it through their own checkout actions.
Potential Impact
Successful exploitation can lead to execution of arbitrary scripts in users' browsers, potentially resulting in session hijacking, defacement, or other malicious actions impacting confidentiality and integrity. The vulnerability does not affect availability. The attack surface includes unauthenticated attackers when guest checkout is enabled, increasing risk. With guest checkout disabled, the attack requires at least Subscriber-level privileges.
Mitigation Recommendations
No official patch or fix is currently documented in the provided data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, consider disabling guest checkout to reduce the risk from unauthenticated attackers. Additionally, restrict Subscriber-level user capabilities if possible to limit exploitation vectors.
