AI-suggested

Users should upgrade FreeRDP to version 3.32.0 or later where this vulnerability is fixed. Until patched, users should avoid connecting to untrusted RDP servers and be cautious when pasting clipboard content received from remote servers.

Description

FreeRDP versions before 3.32.0 have a path traversal vulnerability in the clipboard file handling function. This flaw allows a malicious RDP server to craft clipboard data with '../' sequences, causing the client to read arbitrary local files when pasting from the clipboard. The vulnerability arises because the function does not properly sanitize server-supplied file names before creating local file URIs.
