Published: 10/12/2026 (10/12/2026, 20:55:19 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: zofe
Product: rapyd-admin

Description

Rapyd Admin versions from 9.0.0 up to but not including 9.20.0 contain a hard-coded credentials vulnerability. This flaw allows remote unauthenticated attackers to gain super-admin access by using a seeded admin account with fixed credentials. The vulnerable account (admin@laravel with password 'admin') is created during setup and recreated on certain commands, enabling attackers to bypass authorization and tenant scoping controls.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-109566 describes a hard-coded credentials vulnerability in zofe rapyd-admin versions >=9.0.0 <9.20.0. The setup installer seeds an admin account (admin@laravel) with a fixed password ('admin'), which is silently recreated on every rpd:make run. This allows remote unauthenticated attackers to log in as a global super admin, bypassing per-record authorization and tenant scoping, effectively granting full administrative control.

Potential Impact

An attacker can remotely gain super-admin access without authentication, bypassing all authorization and tenant isolation mechanisms. This leads to full control over the application, potentially allowing data compromise, unauthorized actions, and complete system takeover.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, avoid using affected versions or restrict access to the application. Monitor vendor channels for official patches or updates addressing this vulnerability.
