Technical Analysis

This vulnerability involves uninitialized memory in the Graphics component of Mozilla Firefox, which can lead to sandbox escape. The flaw was addressed and fixed in Firefox version 158 and in the Extended Support Release (ESR) versions 115.43 and 153.5. No CVSS score is provided, and there are no known exploits in the wild at the time of publication.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to escape the sandbox environment of Firefox, potentially leading to execution of arbitrary code outside the browser's restricted environment. This elevates the risk of further system compromise. However, no active exploitation has been reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

Users should update to Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 115.43, or Firefox ESR 153.5 or later to remediate this vulnerability. Applying these official fixes fully mitigates the risk.
