Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-109926 is a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the Productive Commerce WordPress plugin versions prior to 1.1.49. The plugin does not verify user capabilities in a particular AJAX action, and the nonce that guards this action is exposed on all admin-area pages. Consequently, any authenticated user, regardless of privilege level, can trigger this AJAX action and potentially perform unauthorized operations within the plugin.
Potential Impact
Any authenticated user on a WordPress site with the vulnerable Productive Commerce plugin installed can exploit this flaw to activate arbitrary plugin functionality without proper authorization. This could lead to unauthorized changes or actions within the plugin context, potentially impacting site integrity or functionality depending on what the AJAX action controls.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade the Productive Commerce plugin to version 1.1.49 or later, where this missing authorization check has been addressed. Since no official patch link is provided, verify with the plugin vendor or repository for the fixed version. Until the upgrade is applied, restrict authenticated user roles or access to the admin area to trusted users only.
