Description

Otter Blocks WordPress plugin versions before 3.2.8 have an information exposure vulnerability. Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-109935 describes an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) in the Otter Blocks WordPress plugin prior to version 3.2.8. The plugin does not enforce its block visibility conditions when rendering published posts through the WordPress REST API. As a result, unauthorized users can access block content that should be restricted based on roles, login status, authorship, taxonomy terms, or payment status. This vulnerability affects all versions from 0 up to but not including 3.2.8.

Potential Impact

Unauthorized disclosure of restricted content blocks can occur via the REST API, potentially exposing sensitive or premium content to unauthenticated users. This undermines content access controls set by site owners and could lead to information leakage or loss of revenue for paid content.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in Otter Blocks version 3.2.8 and later. Site administrators should upgrade to version 3.2.8 or newer to ensure block visibility conditions are properly enforced when content is accessed via the REST API.
