Users should check the vendor's advisory or update to a fixed version once available. Until then, restrict administrator access to trusted users only and monitor for updates from yaycommerce.

Description

YaySMTP – WP Mail SMTP with Email Logs, Tracking & Reports plugin for WordPress versions up to 2.7.8 is vulnerable to a time-based SQL Injection via the 'params[searchKey]' parameter. This vulnerability allows authenticated users with administrator-level access or higher to inject additional SQL queries due to insufficient escaping and lack of proper query preparation. The flaw can be exploited to extract sensitive information from the database.
