Users should upgrade to a version later than 3.15.5 once available or apply vendor-provided patches when released. Until then, consider disabling the vulnerable plugin or restricting access to affected endpoints. Monitor the vendor advisory for official remediation guidance.

Description

Ninja Forms – Contact Form Builder with Calculators, Quizzes, Signatures & AI Form Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to 3.15.5 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the 'formData.extra' parameter. Unauthenticated attackers can inject arbitrary scripts that execute when users access the affected pages. The vulnerability is exacerbated by the nf_ajax_submit endpoint issuing a valid nonce on failure, bypassing nonce protections and enabling trivial exploitation via a single unauthenticated request.
