Users should restrict contributor-level access and above to trusted users only until a fix is available. Monitor the vendor's advisories for updates. Applying strict input validation and output escaping for the 'align' parameter can mitigate exploitation. Consider disabling or removing the Mang Board plugin if not essential.

Description

The Mang Board plugin for WordPress contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the 'align' parameter affecting all versions up to and including 2.4.5. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing the malicious attribute to persist through post submission and execute in viewers' browsers, including administrators previewing posts.
