Technical Analysis

Sanluan PublicCMS through version 0 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in the TradeAddressController's tradeAddress/save handler. Authenticated members can exploit this flaw by submitting a sequential numeric address ID belonging to another user, enabling them to overwrite that user's addressee, telephone, and address fields. The vulnerability arises because the system does not verify that the address being modified belongs to the session user or the site.

Potential Impact

An authenticated user can modify shipping address information of other users, potentially leading to misdirected shipments or unauthorized changes to user data. The vulnerability does not allow privilege escalation beyond authenticated user level and has a medium severity rating with a CVSS 4.0 score of 5.3.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to authenticated users carefully and monitor for suspicious address modification activities.
