VulnerabilityCVE-2026-110218cvecve-2026-110218
Published: 10/13/2026 (10/13/2026, 18:50:05 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Webkul
Product: Aureus ERP

Description

Aureus ERP versions up to 1.6.0 have an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to access unpublished draft blog posts. This occurs because the PostResource component does not enforce authorization checks and the ViewPost component ignores the is_published flag. Attackers who know or guess the post slug can retrieve sensitive blog post details including title, content, image, tags, author, and publish date.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-110218 describes an authorization bypass vulnerability in Webkul Aureus ERP up to version 1.6.0. The flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to read unpublished draft blog posts via the customer-facing post view page. This happens because the PostResource component skips authorization checks and the ViewPost component does not verify the is_published status, enabling access to draft content if the post slug is known or guessed.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can access unpublished draft blog posts, exposing potentially sensitive or confidential content including full titles, content, images, tags, author information, and publish dates. This could lead to information disclosure but does not indicate further privilege escalation or system compromise.

Mitigation Recommendations

No vendor advisory or patch information is provided. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the post view page or implement additional authorization checks to prevent unauthorized access to unpublished content.
